We are raising funds in loving memory of Benito Navarro, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and presence touched everyone who knew him.
Benito’s wife, Patricia “Pati” Navarro, has been a dedicated member of the MLA community for over 20 years and has been part of this community for even longer. Many families, students, and colleagues know Pati for her commitment, care, and years of service. All funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to Pati to help support her during this incredibly difficult time.
Benito was a huge sports fan—a die-hard Raiders, A’s, and Club América supporter who loved cheering on his teams. He was always willing to help others, whether that meant buying a meal for someone in need or simply offering his time and support. He loved oldies and lowrider music, spending time outside, and being surrounded by family.
Benito shared a special bond with his dogs and invested countless hours training them. He enjoyed taking walks with his daughters and the family dog, turning simple routines into meaningful moments. When he became a grandfather, that same love and patience extended to his granddaughter, whom he proudly included in his daily chores and activities.
Above all, Benito was a deeply kind person who loved being in good company and creating a positive, welcoming environment wherever he went.
In the months leading up to his passing, Benito fought bravely while hospitalized in intensive care for an extended period of time. His family now faces significant medical bills, in addition to funeral and memorial expenses. The funds raised will help cover these medical costs and other related expenses, and will go directly to Pati for support.
