In Loving Memory of Beata Jakubek
Donation protected
Hi everyone! Thank you for stopping by this page.
It is with a heavy heart that our dear and best friend, Tara, has lost her beautiful mother, Beata Zofia Jakubek. Earlier this year these women made their way back to Poland to mourn the loss of Beata’s mother who passed away from pancreatic cancer. A few short weeks later, Beata was diagnosed with the same disease. By the time it was discovered it had metastasized to the liver.
As many of you may know, Beata worked hard to raise Tara on her own with the help of Tara’s grandparents. When Beata was diagnosed in early May, Tara postponed studying for her Doctorate Degree in Naturopathic Medicine without hesitation to dedicate every moment to Beata’s treatment. Tara played a critical role in researching a multitude of doctors, treatments, and local resources that would best support Beata’s battle with cancer.
They traveled abroad in hopes of discovering alternative treatments and made multiple trips to the hospital for chemotherapy and other procedures. Eventually, Tara had to put her mom in a skilled nursing care facility for 24 hour care, which was costly.
Tara is one of the most loving and caring individuals we know. Not only does she have to deal with the unimaginable grief that comes with losing a parent, but now has been left with a significant financial burden. Furthermore, Tara plans to honor her mother’s wishes of a formal burial in Poland.
If we can work together to ease some of her pain, we would be forever grateful.
Thank you for choosing to donate to our amazing friend.
Thank you!
With love,
Toni, Sam, Meghan, Anna, Thea and Dosia
