In Loving Memory of Baby Nicholas.

As a mother, there are no words to describe the pain of watching your own child suffer, and now the unimaginable.

Mackenzie was 32 weeks pregnant when she delivered her beautiful baby boy, Nicholas, on October 18th at 4:46 a.m. He was absolutely perfect- weighing 3 lbs and 16 inches long- but he was to perfect for this world. Our sweet Nicholas went to heaven.

Mackenzie has been very sick for her entire pregnancy. For 32 long weeks, she struggled just to make it through each day. She hasn't been able to work and has spent most of her time sick and in and out of the hospital. What should have been the happiest times of her life has turned into a heartbreaking nightmare.

Now, instead of preparing a nursery, my daughter is planning a funeral for her baby boy while still on bed rest for the next two months. As a mother and grandmother, it breaks my heart that she's enduring this pain- emotionally, physically and financially.

I am starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the heavy burdens she's facing- funeral expenses, medical bills, and living cost while she continues to heal and grieve. I want her to be able to focus on her recovery and her baby's memory without the added worry of how to make ends meet.
