Baby Milo was with us for only nine days—but in those nine days, he knew nothing but love.

Delivered at 29 weeks to save his mom's life, Milo came into the world a fighter. From the moment he arrived, Alexandra and Nicolas—first-time parents—were by his side, pouring every ounce of their strength, hope, and love into their tiny son. The doctors and NICU team mounted a Herculean effort and did everything they could. And Milo fought with a bravery that belied his size.

But on the ninth day, the Lord decided to call Milo home.

No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their child. Alexandra and Nicolas are now living through the unimaginable: the grief of losing their newborn baby, compounded by the burden of medical bills from Milo’s NICU care and numerous emergency interventions.

They are not people who would ever ask for help. But this is a moment when they cannot carry the weight alone.
