Hi, my name is Elizabeth. Recently, my partner, Omar, and I experienced the devastating loss of our first child. Mateo was born sleeping at 21 weeks on March 31st, 2026.

Nothing could ever prepare a parent for this kind of pain. We had so many hopes and dreams for our baby boy, and now we are left grieving a loss that words can’t fully express. Beginning my second trimester, we were informed of potential complications regarding our son’s size compared to his gestational age and were referred to a maternal fetal medicine specialist. Learning of such heavy news caused immense worry and destress within us and our families.

We are asking for support during this difficult time to help with numerous expenses, such as Mateo’s funeral costs, medical bills regarding my hospital stay for his birth, and time taken off of work.
