On Friday May 9th, our baby sister Kami took her last breath and went to rest with the Lord. We are heartbroken that her time with us was very short, but we are grateful for the time God let us spend with her. Philippians 1:21 says, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain", and we believe that she has gained it all; peace, rest, and a place in Heaven.

Kamilah was only four months old, but she left an everlasting impact on our hearts. Her presence was a blessing, and her soft smile brought us comfort. It’s painful to imagine life without her, but we hold on to our faith and the promise that we will see her again. A day before this tragedy, our grandmother, Guillermina, suffered a severe stroke, leaving her temporarily paralyzed from the left side of her body. With therapy she is now recovering and regaining her strength.

We are now in the urgent process of planning her funeral and honoring her beautiful little life. Many have asked how they can support us during this difficult time, so we have created this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of funeral arrangements and other unexpected expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated...and above all, we ask for your continued prayers for strength, peace, and healing.

El viernes 9 de mayo, nuestra hermanita Kami dio su último suspiro y fue a descansar con el Señor. Nos duele profundamente que su tiempo con nosotros haya sido tan corto, pero estamos agradecidos por el tiempo que Dios nos permitió tenerla. Filipenses 1:21 dice: "Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir es ganancia", y creemos con todo el corazón que ella lo ha ganado todo: paz, descanso y un lugar en el Cielo.

Kamilah tenía solo cuatro meses de vida, pero dejó una huella eterna en nuestros corazones. Su presencia fue una bendición, y su dulce sonrisa nos dio consuelo. Es doloroso imaginar una vida sin ella, pero nos aferramos a nuestra fe y a la promesa de que algún día la volveremos a ver. Un día antes de esta tragedia, nuestra abuelita Guillermina sufrió un derrame cerebral severo que la dejó temporalmente paralizada del lado izquierdo de su cuerpo. Con terapia, ahora está en proceso de recuperación y poco a poco va recuperando sus fuerzas.

Actualmente nos encontramos organizando el funeral de Kami urgentemente y buscando la mejor manera de honrar su pequeña y hermosa vida. Muchas personas nos han preguntado cómo pueden apoyarnos en este momento tan difícil, así que hemos creado este GoFundMe para ayudar a cubrir los gastos del funeral y otros gastos inesperados.
