On July 23, 2021, baby Duol Tut suffered a terrible accident and was airlifted to the hospital. However, he went into cardiac arrest and it took one hour for paramedics to get a strong heartbeat. Baby Duol was on a ventilator for four days. The medical team declared there was no brain activity and Baby Duol Tut sadly passed away on July 25, 2021. The parents, Dor Tut and Nyeruon Chuol, are devastated beyond understanding but are trying their best to stay strong for their other child, who is only three years old.

Baby Duol was bright, a fast learner, very curious, full of energy, and deeply affectionate with those around him. He lit up any room he entered with his deep-dimpled smile, booming voice, and fun-loving nature.
