Hi, my name is Monica, and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Petra and her 8-year-old daughter, Azalea, following the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Petra’s husband, Azard, at only 39 years old.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Azard knew how kind, generous, and devoted he was. Above everything else, his family was his priority. He was an incredible husband and an amazing father to Azalea—his little twin—who absolutely adored him.

Azard worked incredibly hard to provide for his family. He even made the difficult decision to step away from pursuing his own business and return to working a steady job so that he could provide a stable income for his family while Petra went back to school to pursue her dreams. That was the kind of person he was—someone who put the people he loved before himself and wanted to give his family the best future he could.

At just 39 years old, his passing was completely unexpected. Losing someone you love is difficult under any circumstances, but losing someone so young and seemingly healthy, without any warning or time to prepare, is unimaginable. Petra and her young daughter are now facing not only the grief of losing their husband and father, but the overwhelming reality of trying to determine what comes next.

Azard was the primary provider for their family, and we are hoping to ease even a small portion of the financial burden Petra is now facing. Funds raised will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, immediate household and living expenses, and provide Petra and her daughter with some financial stability while they grieve and begin navigating their next steps.
