My name is Lisa Yimbo, and alongside Thato Ratsebe, a very close friend of the family, we are organizing this fundraiser for the Motlhatso family. This fundraiser is being created with the full knowledge and blessing of the family, and all contributions will go directly toward helping them navigate this difficult time of healing.

On the evening of Friday, May 1, 2026, the Motlhatso family experienced a tragedy that no family should ever have to endure. A devastating car accident took the lives of two beautiful young sisters, Ayanda (11) and Aphiwe (8), whose lives were filled with promise, joy, and love. In an instant, parents lost their beloved daughters, and a family’s world was forever changed.

Ayanda and Aphiwe were full of life. They loved spending time with their family, playing with each other and their friends, going to school, and especially cherished their time in KidsZone at their church, where their joy and faith shined so brightly. They loved loudly, freely, and wholeheartedly, bringing light to everyone around them.

Their father, who was driving at the time, survived the accident along with two other children. All sustained injuries and are now on the long road to recovery, both physically and emotionally. The sisters leave behind their father, mother, older sister, and baby brother, who are now facing an unimaginable loss.

Even in this heartbreak, we hold onto God’s promise: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18. We trust that Ayanda and Aphiwe are now resting peacefully in His presence, surrounded by His eternal love.

We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Your donation will help with funeral expenses, medical care and recovery support, and immediate and ongoing needs for the family. Every gift, no matter the size, will make a real difference.

Even if you’re unable to give, please share this fundraiser and keep the Motlhatso family in your prayers. Your support helps carry them through this unimaginable loss.

Rest in peace, sweet Ayanda and Aphiwe. You will forever be loved and never forgotten.
