I never thought I would ever have to write this but I am completely heartbroken over the passing of my good friend, Austin Boatright—a devoted husband, a proud new father, and one of the kindest people you could ever meet.

Austin was just days away from his 30th birthday and his son, Arthur turning six months old. He and his wife, Amy, were weeks away from a new milestone, something they had looked forward to and worked so hard for. It truly doesn't make sense because life was unfolding beautifully for them and now unfortunately Amy and their entire family is left with this massive hole in their hearts.

Austin’s loss has and will continue to shake everyone who knew and loved him. He was a light in so many lives, and he leaves behind an incredible legacy in Amy and baby Arthur.

Now, Amy and his entire family are facing the unimaginable—mourning her husband while caring for their infant son and trying to hold everything together. Along with overwhelming grief, there are the unexpected financial burdens of funeral expenses and the costs of raising a child alone.

As someone who had the privilege of knowing Austin since childhood, I can say with certainty that he was truly one of the best—someone who made life brighter just by being in it.
