In Loving Memory of Arnulfo Pablo Barajas

It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Arnulfo Pablo Barajas on August 12, 2025. He was a deeply loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Our dad was the kindest, most generous soul — a man full of love who asked for so little in return. His passing came as a complete shock. He was healthy, full of life, and had no warning signs. Our entire family is devastated by this sudden and unimaginable loss.

Anyone who knew him will remember how special he made people feel. His warmth, kindness, strength, and humor could light up any room. He had a gentle spirit that made everyone feel safe and welcome. He was truly the best dad, and an incredibly devoted husband who sacrificed everything to give his family a better life. Decades ago, he left his home in Mexico and came to the United States to work hard and provide for us. Just four years ago, he celebrated 50 years of marriage — still deeply in love with our mom.

He had many passions: singing, dancing, playing the guitar, caring for his animals (goats, chickens, turkeys, dogs), listening to mariachi music, and going on long walks — but most of all, he loved sharing these moments with family. He was always the first to hit the dance floor with the love of his life, our mom.

There are countless stories we could share about what a great man he was. As I write this, I’m in tears knowing I’ll never hear his singing again, see him dance, or feel one of his comforting hugs. My siblings and I have lost our father. Our mom has lost her life partner.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the unexpected costs of the funeral, burial, and all the many additional expenses that come with loss — emotional and financial burdens that few are ever prepared for.

Con el corazón destrozado, compartimos la inesperada partida de Arnulfo Pablo Barajas el 12 de agosto de 2025. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano, tío, primo y amigo profundamente amado.

Nuestro papá fue el alma más bondadosa y generosa — un hombre lleno de amor que nunca pedía nada a cambio. Su partida fue completamente repentina. Estaba sano, lleno de vida y sin señales de advertencia. Toda nuestra familia está devastada por esta pérdida tan inesperada e inimaginable.

Quienes lo conocieron recordarán lo especial que los hacía sentir. Su calidez, amabilidad, fortaleza y sentido del humor iluminaban cualquier lugar. Tenía un espíritu tan noble que hacía sentir seguros y bienvenidos a todos. Fue, sin duda, el mejor papá, y un esposo increíblemente entregado que sacrificó todo para darle a su familia una vida mejor. Hace décadas, dejó su hogar en México y vino a Estados Unidos para trabajar y proveer para nosotros. Hace apenas cuatro años celebró 50 años de matrimonio — aún profundamente enamorado de nuestra mamá.

Tenía muchas pasiones: cantar, bailar, tocar la guitarra, cuidar a sus animales (chivos, gallinas, guajolotes, perros), escuchar mariachi, salir a caminar… pero, sobre todo, amaba compartir estos momentos con su familia. Siempre era el primero en salir a bailar con el amor de su vida: nuestra mamá.

Podríamos contar mil historias sobre lo gran hombre que fue. Escribo esto con lágrimas en los ojos, sabiendo que ya no volveré a escucharlo cantar, verlo bailar, o pedirle un abrazo cuando más lo necesito. Mis hermanos y yo hemos perdido a nuestro padre. Nuestra mamá ha perdido a su compañero de vida.
