Hello everyone,

I am writing this on behalf of my dear friend Putulik Lillian Pilurtuut. Putulik is from Kangiqsujuaq, Nunavik, the Arctic of Quebec. She is a young Inuk woman, of Inuit nation in Canada. She was forcibly adopted as a young child to a family in the south, in Montreal. She has only met her mother once before in 2023. Putulik is a new mother, she was planning on having her first baby meet her grand-mother later this fall. Sadly, Putulik’s mother tragically passed away on August 8, 2025. Her baby daughter, who is my namesake, was not able to meet her grand-mother. A single airline ticket to Kangiqsujuaq from Montreal costs just over $5,000.00 without airfare reduction, which Putulik does not have. We are hoping and praying that we get Putulik to see her mother one last time, in time for her mother’s funeral in Kangiqsujuaq. With your help, she would have the opportunity to say a final goodbye to her mother and to meet her family. We are asking for your help. We are asking the community and anyone who would be of help to kindly donate any amount, any amount would be greatly appreciated.
