UPDATE: Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible outpouring of love, prayers and donations to help us lay Aniyah Davis to rest. Your support during this time has meant everything to Aniyah's family.
Now that this beautiful angel has been laid to rest we are shifting our focus to justice!
We are heartbroken that the person responsible for Aniyah's death is still out there. Aniyah was full of life, love, and light - she deserves justice. That's why we are now redirecting this GoFundMe toward raising reward money to help lead to the arrest and conviction of the person who took her from us.
All remaining and future donations will go toward a reward fund and other advocacy efforts related to Aniyah's case. Our hope is that someone will come forward with the information needed to hold the responsible party accountable.
Please continue to share this page. Keep speaking Aniyah's name. And help us bring justice to our beautiful girl.
With Love and Gratitude,
Aniyah's Family,
#JusticeForAniyahDavis
On Saturday June 21st, 2025, the lives of Aniyah J. Davis's friends and family were shattered. While celebrating at the park, our beloved Aniyah, at the age of only 18, was suddenly and tragically taken from us. Her passing has left an indescribable void in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Aniyah was more than a friend, she was family to everyone who had the joy of knowing her. Her heart was boundless, and her love knew no limits. She was the kind of person who could walk into a room and light it up with her smile, her laughter, and her unforgettable presence.
I was able to visit with Aniyah's father, Phillip Davis, a fellow member of the United Union of Roofers Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local 97 yesterday, and we talked about his "Twin" as he so fondly called her. Aniyah was a gifted singer and a radiant performer. She had a passion for life that inspired those around her. Whether she was sharing her voice, dancing with joy, or simply offering a hug when it was needed most, she gave her whole self to others. She was a leader, a motivator, a sister, a daughter, and a soul that brought people together. I personally will remember her most as a daddy's girl as will a lot of the people that know Phil.
We are raising funds to help honor Aniyah's memory, support her family during this unimaginable time, and create a celebration of life as beautiful as she was. Your support will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, and any remaining funds will be used to build a legacy in her name - one that reflects her love for community, music, and bringing people together.
Please give what you can, share this page, and most importantly hold your loved ones close. Aniyah's light will never be forgotten, and with your help, we can make sure it continues to shine.
Aniyah's funeral will be held on Monday, June 30th at the New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N Bowman Ave., Danville, IL. Her visitation will start at 10:00 AM with funeral directly following.
