In Loving Memory of Anita Huff

Donation protected
Hello my friends,

This is Joshua Huff here. Please take some time to read and share the love

My mother, Anita Ann Huff, was a fierce and passionate woman who loved who she loved with all of her heart. Her spirit and tenacity were completely unmatched and she was certainly something to admire. She was a STRONG mother bear who literally went to the ends of the Earth for her three kids:

1) Ricki (oldest)
2) Joshua (Me - middle)
3) Holly Ann (youngest)

Unfortunately, her story became a particularly difficult one towards the latter years of her short life. Diagnosed with a wide variety of dementia’s, including Severe Progressive Aphasia, Lewy Body, and more, my mother faced a journey nobody she have to face but many do.

As her primary caregiver and representative, I walked with her every step of the way to ensure she had what she needed. I cared for her as if she were my own child. Feeding her, cleaning her, handling medical appointments, and navigating complex legal systems to ensure she could receive all the benefits she could possibly be eligible for. It has been a painful and elongated grieving process, as I held her in my arms at every stage of progression.

With her young age and the difficulties of behavioral changes of dementia, there was not much in place for her end-of-life. No will, no estate, no life insurance policy, etc. She had dreams of returning to school for childhood education to return to teaching. She danced until she couldn’t physically move. She laughed, she cried, she got angry, she fought, she loved, she cared. But most of all, she lived with her heart on her sleeve. No matter what anybody said or did.

This GoFundMe page is simply to assist our family in recouping some lost costs and last minute expenditures of her sudden passing. Due to the young ages of myself and my siblings, and the requirements of care for someone living with dementia, we have been able to cover the most minimal costs.

We want to honor her with a beautiful memorial service and a celebration of life with foods and non-alcoholic beverages. We are looking to host these services on Wednesday July 23rd, 2025 (TIME AND LOCATION TO COME). If you would like to pitch in towards food, general costs, beverages, etc. Please feel free to do so. We do not expect a lot, but just enough to help us celebrate our precious mother and honor her life.

We will forever be grateful for her light, her love, and her inspiration. May you rest in peace Momma Bear❤️ Dance with Grandad for us
