Angie was a deeply devoted and loving mother of two, and I’m so grateful to be her son. She gave everything she had to raise me, always putting others before herself. She had a beautiful way of seeing the good in people, even when it wasn’t easy, and she never stopped believing in hope. She worked hard every single day, yet still found time to love, to care, and to make people feel seen.
She wasn’t just my mom, she was “mom” to so many of my friends too. That’s just who she was, warm, welcoming, and full of life. She had such a vibrant, comforting spirit. She loved rap music, cooking meals that brought everyone together, and getting lost in movies, especially mysteries and true crime shows. She had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats, and her kindness reached everything and everyone around her. As a strong, hardworking single mother, she gave her all every single day and somehow made it feel like love was always abundant.
She passed from a rare spinal epidural abscess. We truly believed she would make it through, and for days I held onto that hope while staying right by her side. I was there with her for six days, not wanting her to be alone for even a moment. Losing her has been one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever experienced, and I miss her more than words could ever express.
I truly feel like I won the lottery in life by having her as my mom. I would give anything to hear her voice again, to sit with her, to laugh with her. She was everything to me.
The funds raised will help cover funeral and cremation costs, easing some of the weight during this incredibly difficult time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your kindness and support. Every donation, no matter the size, is a reminder that we are not alone in this. Your generosity brings comfort, relief, and a sense of love that helps carry us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. Angie gave so much to others, and seeing that same kindness come back in her honor is incredibly touching. It means everything to our family to know that her life and love are being recognized and remembered through your support. Thank you for standing with us, for caring, and for helping us during this time. We are deeply, truly grateful.
