In Loving Memory of Andy Hirons
Donation protected
On the 15th August we lost the most amazing and sweet natured man.
Andy was tragically killed while out riding his motorbike with a couple of friends from his local club, whilst on the way to a local bike meet in Worcester.
He was in an unavoidable collision through no fault of his own, in which he stood no chance.
For those who knew Andy they know the kind of man he was, but for those who did not, let me fill you in;
Andy was a local man who lived in the Evesham area all his life. Never a stones throw away from all his family and friends.
He was a devoted husband to Tracey, in which they have just celebrated their Pearl Anniversary (30 years). He was a loving and caring father to Stacey, Kim and Steven, father-in-law to Scott and Chloe. Also the proudest grandad ever to his wonderful 3 grandchildren Marcie (3 years old), Eloise (2 years old) and Noah (11 months old). It is heart breaking to realise he will not get to watch them grow, as they loved him dearly. He was also a son, brother, uncle, cousin and in law to many.
Andy was a complete family man first and a cherished friend and colleague to many, many people.
He loved to laugh and had a way to bring a smile to anyone's face. He'd talk to anyone and everyone and would never leave anyone on their own.
Andy loved to be involved with people and he loved his skittles nights and the comradery that went with it.
Throughout the years he had many jobs which he loved. He used to be a farmer, driver, security and even a retained fire fighter at Pebworth station in which we were so proud of him. He ended up a valued member of staff at Unipart Honeybourne for 24 years, where he was highly respected and liked by all members of staff.
Like any man though who's children have grown up, had children of their own and giving his best years to looking after and taking care of his disabled daughter and wife who is her full time carer, it was time to have a little 'me time'. This is where the longing for a motorbike came true.
Lazy days out, evening meets and charity ride outs, even the annual Christmas Santa Run. He loved it all. He was loving life with plenty of new friends in this great biking community he was now a part of.
He worked hard, was never ill and felt guilty if he didn't go to work as he knew it would make someone else's work harder. He was always thinking of others and gave his all to work, family and friends.
We are opening this GoFundMe page to help our family give such a special man, the most fitting and best send off we can. To help the whole family grieve in their loss without the struggle and worry of the expenses of the funeral and all other aspects as Andy was the main wage earner for our family.
Any additional funding will be passed on to the Air Ambulance as we all know this was close to Andy's heart, always his chosen charity which he loved to support. They were also there for him at the end.
We do not have a date set for the funeral yet but for those who wish to attend the funeral itself or the wake we will keep this updated this with further details.
We miss and love you so much.
