In loving memory of Andrew Guerrero
May 31, 1998 - April 8, 2025
Andrew's friends are seeking to raise enough funds to cover the costs associated with the recent Celebration of Life, as well as travel expenses and mortuary services incurred by Andrew’s family including his partner, Jess. The funds will be sent directly to Andrew's family.
Andrew died on April 8, 2025, camping near Taos, New Mexico.
Andrew passed away while camping due to a preexisting condition - Elhers-Danlos Syndrome - which he was diagnosed with at age 14. Andrew wholeheartedly believed in living life to the fullest extent despite this diagnosis, which explains his constant camping/backpacking trips, musical festival attendance, and embracing his friends and family with every ounce of energy he had.
Andrew grew up in Dallas, TX where he began his love for soccer and sports in general. He moved to Pittsburgh at a young age, were he ended up attending college nearby at the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. Along the way in 2017, Andrew started working at REI where he ended up meeting some of his closest friends, as well as his beloved girlfriend, Jess. Andrew moved out to Denver, CO with this close group of friends and his roommate, Ethan, to pursue adventure and the beautiful outdoors that Colorado and neighboring states have to offer. Not too long after moving to Denver, Andrew had the inclination to obtain his teaching credentials, and shortly after started his job as a middle school teacher where he taught for 2.5 years. He lived with the love of his life, Jess, and their best friend Myah. Andrew thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family, cooking, music, and all of the simple joys along the way.
Andrew will be dearly missed, and will continue to live on through his friends and family and the vast array of people that he made an impact on.
