It is hard to find the words to describe the heartbreak we are feeling. On Tuesday, our beloved Ana Angelica Moreira lost her life in a tragic and unimaginable accident. Angelica was at a laundromat doing laundry when a vehicle crashed into the building. In an instant, a beautiful life was taken from us far too soon.
For more than eight years, Ana was part of our family. While many knew her as our housekeeper, to us she was so much more. She was a friend, a confidant, a constant presence in our home, and someone we loved deeply. She celebrated life’s joys with us, stood by us through difficult times, and became woven into the fabric of our family.
Angelica was one of a kind. She was funny, vibrant, strong-willed, and full of life. She had a way of making people laugh, speaking her mind without hesitation, and bringing warmth wherever she went. Her strength, resilience, and generous heart touched everyone who knew her. Our home will never feel the same without her.
Angelica came to the United States from Brazil in search of opportunities and a better future for the people she loved. While she lived here with her nephew and his girlfriend, her son and much of her family remain in Brazil. They are now facing the devastating reality of losing a mother, a sister, an aunt, and a daughter in such a sudden and horrific way.
The grief of losing her is overwhelming. On top of that, her family is now faced with unexpected expenses, legal matters, and the many financial burdens that come after a tragedy like this. We are creating this fundraiser to help relieve some of those worries so they can focus on mourning, healing, and honoring Ana’s memory.
