In loving memory of Amanda Marie Rose Hills

Donation protected
**Update: I wanted to introduce myself to clear up any confusion that anyone may have. I’m Rachel Rogers a close family friend of Cindy Hills and Tony Maselli. In the presence of Cindy and Tony both, along with their permission, this Go Fund Me was created in memory of Amanda. All proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to Cindy Hills (Amanda’s mother)to be dispersed to the organization that she has chosen.
The Hills family, has created this go fund me page, in honor of Amanda Marie Rose Hills. Although Amanda’s life ended too soon, the family finds solace in knowing that Amanda is at peace, in a better place and no longer in pain.

Amanda was born in Mt. Kisco, New York and is the daughter of Keith and Cynthia Hills. Amanda grew up as an only child, but part of both the Hills and Maselli family. An amazing extended family that loved and cherished her. Amanda graduated from SUNY Purchase University as an Art history major. She loved the Arts, nature, cooking, and movement. You could spot her magic in moments where she was dancing and or creating. Amanda fell in love with Yoga and teaching. Her curious and playful spirit lead her to become a certified Yoga instructor and start her own business in Delray Beach Fl called Soulga (when the Soul and Yoga combine). Her capacity to shine light on others allowed her to see in them what she failed to see in herself, hope, opportunity, grace, and beauty. Her work extended far past the length of her arms, she helped people channel their inner strength, and provided art lessons to anyone that was willing and wanted to learn. Creativity was one of her many gifts.

Amanda frolicked her way into the heart of many. Her passion for the sensual and the exploration of color, flavor, and enjoyment led her to so many enjoyable and human activities. She saw magic, where most people saw the mundane. She lived a powerful life filled with cooking, fire dancing, singing, and philosophizing. Her sensitive soul gave her enough sight to see Spirit in everything. She saw paintings in rocks, and figures in the sky, she heard the ocean in the trees, and made friends with the animals. She embodied all the elements. She was as quick and graceful as the wind, and as noble as the earth. She was as wild as fire, and as soothing as the ocean.

We now know that all this brilliance is not enough to keep a person happy. We struggle to understand how someone so magnificent could simultaneously be in such agony. Behind the facade of smiles, imagination, and beauty, were depression, anxiety, and brokenness.

We lost Amanda to suicide on February 2, 2022.

The family would like to honor Amanda’s life by designating all donations be channeled to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of South Florida. This organization focuses on mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, which affect over 21 million Americans and account for 50% of the nation’s suicides every year. Amanda’s, Mother Cindy, requested that all donations will be directed to the DBSA organization with a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. All donations from this Go Fund Me will be processed by a family member and will be sent directly to the DBSA of South Florida. The family expresses sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

Please help us to honor Amanda, and make a difference to others with similar symptoms related to mental health.
