This GoFundMe was created to honor Alvaro's legacy and to help support his life partner and four children - Alvaro Jr., Elena, Aalyiah, and Emilio. All donations will go directly toward funeral expenses, travel costs, and the family's loss of wages during this difficult time. April is facing some unimaginable and challenging days ahead.

It is with an incredible amount of pain and sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Alvaro Zapien. We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers as the family grieves the loss of a son, brother, father, life partner, and friend.

On October 29, 2022, Alvaro lost his life unexpectedly. While traveling to California to see his family, he was involved in a traffic incident.

Alvaro leaves behind his life partner April Gonzales and the four children they share, his mother, Eustolia; father, Ignacia; his sisters, Lilly and Anai; brothers, Oscar, Jesus, Alex and Roberto and many other family and friends.

Alvaro spent the last several years living in Redmond with his love, April, building his legacy. He loved spending time with his children, listening to music, fast cars, and pit bulls. He was a complete family man and doted on his beautiful children. Alvaro will be remembered as an affectionate father, a loving son, a compassionate brother, and a charismatic, big-hearted friend.

I kindly ask that we come together as a community and friends of the family to lift them in prayer and offer any financial support to alleviate some of that burden so they can focus on grieving and honoring him after this tragedy.
