Donation protected
Dear Family & Friends,
As you know now, Alphonzo transitioned on September 16, 2023 after five months of fighting valiantly to recover.
We weren’t planning to setup a GoFundMe, but so many of have asked, we decided to move forward with one. Any funds raised will be used to cover expenses incurred over the last few months and for all of the unexpected expenses related to closing out Alphonzo’s accounts and the memorial.
Thank you for considering and for sharing with other loved ones.
ALPHONZO’S OBITUARY
August 5, 1987 - September 16, 2023
Alphonzo Charles Mosby Jr., also known as “Fonzo”, was born August 5, 1987, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Alphonzo Charles Mosby Sr. and Bernadette Mosby. He led a courageous life full of charisma and transitioned surrounded by his closest loved ones.
Alphonzo was a beautiful spirit that was full of life and motivated family and friends everywhere he went. He proudly completed his Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation (HVAC) certification at San Bernardino Valley College. Given his strong technical abilities and leadership, he was eventually promoted to foreman. He also created and hosted his own podcast called “Sesh with Mr. Mosby,” which was his pride and joy. This podcast was inspired by his late mother, Bernadette, who gifted him the microphone to get the podcast started.
Alphonzo was an extremely hard worker who loved to be around people. His magnetic personality and smile were the light of every room he entered. He loved to exercise, be in nature, and share his love with others, which is what he enjoyed doing most. He was known for always trying to galvanize others to push forward and live life to its fullest. Alphonzo’s memory will be cherished for his passion and love for others.
Alphonzo was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadette Marie Guillory (Nellum), and his father, Alphonzo Charles Mosby Sr. He is survived by his loving parents, Keith T. Guillory and Jessica Guillory, brothers Keith James Guillory, Christopher James Nellum (Alexis Jackson), Juan Eason, Joshua Gaspard, sisters Alicia and Patrice Mosby, grandparents Peggy A. Thurman, Yvonne and Thoreau James Nellum, Michele James (Gaga), his girlfriend Danielle Portacio, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and around the country.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Tillman Riverside Memorial at 2874 Tenth Street Riverside, CA. We thank all those who sent their condolences and expressed love for our son
and brother.
