On Friday, our family received the heartbreaking news that my father, Allen Surridge, had passed away at only 52 years old. He had been bravely fighting stage one throat cancer, and while the primary cause of his passing is still pending, his loss was sudden and devastating. He was found peacefully in his sleep, leaving us with a pain no words can fully capture.
