My name is Luis Gonzalez, a friend and colleague of Javier Rodriguez. Last night, a parent’s worst nightmare became a devastating reality. Two loving parents lost their precious son far too soon.

Allan Rodriguez Campos was only 14 years old. In his short time here, he left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was an exemplary student, a proud member of NJROTC, and a young man full of promise, discipline, and heart. Allan’s smile could light up a room, and he cherished every moment spent with his family.

Allan found joy in the simple, meaningful things. He loved building Legos, patiently bringing creations to life piece by piece. He also enjoyed searching for rare Pokémon cards — a hobby he proudly shared with his dad, creating memories that will forever be treasured. Those small moments of laughter, excitement, and bonding now mean more than words can express.

He leaves behind two younger brothers who looked up to him and an older sister who loved him dearly. The emptiness his absence leaves in their home is beyond words. No family should ever have to endure such sudden and heartbreaking loss.
