In Loving Memory of Alicia Gonzalez

On Sunday April 13th Alicia lost her battle with metastatic cancer. Alicia’s diagnosis never imposed her from living life to the fullest, those that knew her on a personal level knew this about her. Alicia had so much love for life and had so much to live for. She never showed a sign of weakness, even when she was slowly dying inside. She was a beautiful soul that lit up any space she would walk into.

Life threw Alicia more than her fair share of challenges, but she faced each one with grace, grit, and a giving heart. She was the first to offer help, the last to ask for it.

Her greatest joy came from her 3 kids and 8 grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with them. To them, she wasn’t just a grandmother—she was a best friend, a cheerleader, a safe place, she was and forever will be “Amá”.

Alicia’s legacy is one of joy, resilience, and unconditional love. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to live forever in our hearts.

El domingo 13 de abril, Alicia Gonzalez perdió su batalla contra el cáncer metastásico. Sin embargo, su diagnóstico nunca le impidió vivir la vida al máximo. Quienes la conocieron de cerca lo saben bien—Alicia estaba llena de vida y tenía mucho por qué vivir. Nunca mostró debilidad, incluso cuando por dentro se iba apagando poco a poco. Su espíritu radiante iluminaba cada lugar al que llegaba.

La vida le presentó muchos desafíos, pero los enfrentó con gracia, valentía y un corazón generoso. Siempre fue la primera en ofrecer ayuda y la última en pedirla.

Su mayor alegría en la vida fueron sus tres hijos y ocho nietos, quienes eran el centro de su mundo. Atesoraba cada momento compartido con ellos. Para ellos, no solo fue una abuela—fue una mejor amiga, una porrista, un refugio seguro. Fue, y siempre seguirá siendo, nuestra Amá.

El legado de Alicia es de alegría, fortaleza y amor incondicional. Aunque ya no esté con nosotros, su amor vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones.
