In Loving Memory of our Father Alfredo Ruiz
It is with a heavy heart that I write about the passing of our father.
After several weeks of being hospitalized due to complications from a surgery; Alfredo suffered two strokes which left his heart in critical condition.
On the morning of February 16, 2021, at approximately 10am, our father gave his last breath; creating an immediate, tremendous void in our lives.
We reluctantly endured witnessing our beloved father spend his final moments alone, away from his family and loved ones.
Our father’s death created an open, painful wound within us. Our faith and hope is to be able to reunite once again in heaven.
For those who met him, our father’s humor was contagious. He always had a joke to tell and we will miss laughing with him.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Leticia, a recent cancer survivor; three daughters Teresa, Pita and Yazmin, his son Alfredo, and three beautiful grandchildren; all who will miss him dearly.
We create this campaign with trepidation and humility. Our lives have been defined by privacy but we are overwhelmed by the public displays of love and kindness that have been shown us during this difficult time. It gives us strength to confess that our financial need is real and our funds are limited. We did not anticipate nor were prepared for the costs that have flowed from this tragedy.
We offer all of you our deepest appreciation for your giving, condolences, messages of encouragement and prayers.

En memoria de nuestro padre Alfredo Ruiz
Con gran pesar escribo sobre el fallecimiento de nuestro padre.
Después de varias semanas de estar hospitalizado por complicaciones de una cirugía; Alfredo sufrió dos derrames cerebrales que dejaron su corazón en estado crítico.
En la mañana del 16 de febrero de 2021, aproximadamente a las 10 am, nuestro padre dio su último aliento; creando un vacío tremendo e inmediato en nuestras vidas.
Difícilmente soportamos presenciar a nuestro amado padre pasar sus últimos momentos solo, lejos de su familia y seres queridos.
La muerte de nuestro padre creó una herida abierta y dolorosa dentro de nosotros. Nuestra fe y esperanza es poder reunirnos una vez más en el cielo.
Para quienes lo conocieron, el humor de nuestro padre fue contagioso. Siempre tenía una broma que contar y echaremos de menos reír con él.
Deja atrás a una esposa amorosa, Leticia, una sobreviviente de cáncer reciente; tres hijas Teresa, Pita y Yazmin, su hijo Alfredo y tres hermosos nietos; todos los que lo extrañarán mucho.
Creamos esta campaña con trepidación y humildad. Nuestras vidas se han definido por la privacidad, pero estamos abrumados por las demostraciones públicas de amor y bondad que se nos han mostrado durante este momento difícil. Nos da fuerza para confesar que nuestra necesidad financiera es real y que nuestros fondos son limitados. No anticipamos ni estábamos preparados para los costos que se derivaron de esta tragedia.
