In loving memory of Alfonso Francisco

On behalf of Alfonso "Ponching" Francisco and family, I, his youngest son Reggie Francisco would like to pay tribute to his loving memory. My dad was a Godly man. He was a great husband, brother, friend, grand father and most of all, a great father to my siblings and I. He was a brave, loving and caring person. He always put all of us first before himself. He was thoughtful of others, loved being around people, always joked around and brightened up each room he walked into. He was hot headed with words but never meant any harm and was quick to apologize. He showed his love with actions more than words. Strong minded and stayed true to his words. As I watched how he lived, he showed me how to be a man of the family and to have principles in life. He displayed how to be a great husband and father. He was a hardworking man and provided for his family. Dad never shied away from his responsibilities and always took care of them. He loved hosting parties. He especially loved celebrating New years eve with family and friends. Like fireworks, his presence light up and shined brightly. Dad really enjoyed cooking. Everyone knew of his cooking skills, and everyone's most requested dish was kaldereta! He appreciated all the little things in life. He especially cherished his grandchildren and were always eager to see and spend time with them. He enjoyed listening, singing and dancing to music. Probably the best dancer in the family alongside with his dear wife. He was always present and ready to help mom with things that needed to be done. Dad and mom were two peas in a pod. He always wanted to go where mom goes. Whenever asked of how the two of them met, he would always tell the tale of how mom had a crush on him and always winked each time he passed by. Even on his last breath after he flat lined, his heart rate increased as soon as mom touched his hand. As painful as it was, it was the most beautiful thing I have witnessed. Dad's love for mom and his family is unconditional.

 

To my dad, We will celebrate your life. We will always remember and love you. We miss you always. Know that you are loved by many. We will tell stories of you so that you may live on forever.

 

Thank you for everything. This is not a good-bye but rather...I WILL SEE YOU LATER!!
