In Loving Memory of Alex Kobzar
Honoring a Life of Generosity:
As many of you know, my beloved brother, Alex Kobzar, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 41. Alex was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of countless people through his boundless generosity.
I created this GoFundMe campaign to let anyone who wants/can contribute, no matter the size, to give my brother the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes. I am not asking to cover our funeral expenses, which, if my brother knew, I know he’d never leave us. I instead give the opportunity to anyone who knew and loved him and wants to help and contribute towards the cost of it.
About Alex:
Alex was a true inspiration to me and many who had the privilege of knowing him. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, he carried the values of family and friendship. He was a beacon of positivity, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Alex was passionate about bringing people together and always wanted to be surrounded by friends. He didn’t have kids of his own, but his mini pincher dog Rex, 20-year business, and all the technology toys were his true babies! It's almost ironic because my brother loved kids! Alex loved our younger brother, who lives in Russia, and my son Dominick (his only nephew), and was a big part of their lives.
My brother was our family’s ROCK, and I knew no matter what, he could fix everything. Even though it's been a long while since I needed my big brother to save me, knowing that he loves me unconditionally and will always catch me if I fall was my safe place. Every day living without him is devastating. All who knew my brother know that Generosity was Alex's hallmark.
Memorial Service: We organized the memorial service on September 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Sarasota, FL, to celebrate Alex's life, allowing his friends and loved ones to come together to share their memories and pay their respects (please reach out if you need details).
Thank you for your overwhelming amount of kind words and support messages during this difficult time. My mom and I didn't respond to many of your messages and phone calls because it's an extremely painful time for us, and we are focused on what needs to be done and each other.
