Addison Robert Loda
January 5, 1998-June 20, 2020
To those of you who knew Addison, you may remember his sense of humor, his quick smile or his ability to make you laugh. He was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson and dear friend. Addison was also a photographer, a musician, a cyclist and some would say forever in search of his next adventure.
Many of you have asked Peter and the Loda family how you can support and offer tribute to the memory of Addison. The family has decided to create a Memorial Bench for Addison through Portland Parks and Recreation in Grant Park. The hope is that many of you will visit this memorial. This bench will provide comfort and a place to rest, knowing that Addison loved this park and shared many memories here with family and friends alike.
Grant Park, in Portland, was a special place for Addison and his family. He lived across the street from the park for several years, attended Hollyrood Elementary, and then Grant High School. All these chapters of his life were set in the same area of the Grant Park neighborhood.
Though Addison's time with us was brief, the memories of moments spent together will remain and provide us all with comfort through the years.
Peter and the Loda family are all so thankful for your kind words, love and compassion during this time. Please know they plan to host a memorial service once we are all safely able to attend.
In the meantime, please keep your words of encouragement, photos and stories of times spent with Addison coming. Your show of support is healing, and much appreciated.
Farewell Addison, our sweet boy – we love you so much. Safe travels on this last adventure… until we meet again.
