It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved teammate and incredible friend, Adam Hurst, on December 4th, 2025.

Adam was an amazing Soldier, leader, and friend. He served with distinction in the Maryland Army National Guard from 2011 to 2025 and made profound contributions to the Global War on Terror in both his military and civilian careers. Adam was a dedicated mentor and selfless leader; he always put the needs of his Soldiers above his own and cared deeply about those he served with, and he remained devoted to his Soldiers while undergoing multiple rounds of invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment between 2018 and 2025. Adam always went out of his way to put others first, even at his lowest points of treatment.

Adam had an infectious positive attitude and has left a lasting impact on all of us. He is an irreplaceable loss to our Maryland Guard family and we will miss him dearly.

Adam was also a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Melissa, and father to their two sons, Isaac (13) and Abram (9). All donations will go to Adam's family to provide any support and assistance they need. We also ask for your prayers for Adam's family as they navigate this incredibly challenging time.
