Please see below for an update from his wife, Stephanie:
"November: Adam fought so hard, but his battle is over. Our hearts are broken, we love him so much. It just doesn't seem real. And it really doesn't seem fair.
A few weeks ago he was short of breath, and just felt really bad. He was swollen in his belly, feet and hands. He went to the emergency room and they found fluid around his heart and lungs, so put in a pericardial drain and felt much better afterwards. A few days later he started getting heart arrhythmias and a very high heart rate. His electrolytes were unbalanced. Then his kidneys and liver started getting affected. The drs put him on a ventilator. He started getting better and stronger over the next week, but still experienced heart arrhythmias and high heart rate, as well as low blood pressure. A week after going on the ventilator, he went into cardiac arrest. The drs were able to get his heart restarted, and over the next couple of days found that his brain function was intact. He again started making progress, even though it was slower than anyone wanted. He was able to breathe with minimal support from the ventilator for periods of time. But he felt terrible, and he still had right and left sided heart failure. On October 31, he decided to go home to God. He passed away November 2, leaving behind his wife and 3 young children."
We love you always, Adam.
