In Loving Memory of Ada Mae

Donation protected

Creating this for Ada’s parents Melissa and Josh, and their older daughter Annabelle, to help support them through this unexpected loss of their youngest daughter, Ada.

Please read a small snippet of Ada’s story written by her dad, Josh:

“Our baby girl, Ada Mae, passed away at 2:47 PM on Thursday the 21st of March 2024.

Ada fought harder in a day than most people do in a lifetime, just to stay alive more often than not, that was true until the very end.

Ada had some issues recently, most everyone knows, she went in patient on Monday evening with a ride in an ambulance, she went into cardiac arrest once in the ER, after they were able to bring her back it was determined that her heart was just too sick to work without a lot of help, she was intubated and then placed on ECMO, this machine moved her blood through her little body so her heart did not have to. There are complication possibilities but there was little choice other than this.

She suffered a stroke and the left side of her body was non responsive by the next day, we were hopeful however that since her right side was responsive she could pull through this just like she has done with so many other things in the past.

There were other issues coming but optimism was still there and hope existed still.

By the next day there were blood clotting issues coming soon, her blinking, eye movements, and right side movements faded and in the early hours of Thursday the 21st she lost brain wave function, and everything went quiet.

The ECMO machine had to be removed or changed out to a new one quickly to get her to a CT scan, We decided to see if her heart was ready to get back to work. The machine was removed successfully and she was comfortable for a time.

In the early morning on Thursday however, with no brain function, it was determined she suffered at least one more stroke, her heart was holding on but fading, it was then that we knew the end was coming. We called our family to come to the hospital to say goodbye one last time.

She held on for so long and fought a fight that most will never know, her life was filled with pain and constant suffering but you would never know it by looking at this little girl.

She filled every room with joy and laughter, people say that about others after they have passed, but if you knew Ada or had ever met her, then you will understand that a truer statement could not be said about her.“

These funds will go directly to the family to help them navigate through this unexpected hardship and help pay for funeral expenses. Any additional funds will be used to help Melissa and Josh start a foundation in Ada’s honor to keep her memory alive, but also to help bridge the gap they had to figure out how to fill for other families that have children with special needs.

Any assistance you can help provide the family with is much appreciated!

The funds received from this GoFundme will go towards Memorial service costs and any additional funds will be used to finish the foundation in her name that was started a few years ago but never completed, the foundation announcements will be on Ada's Facebook page and website in the near future.

Follow Ada's facebook page for upcoming service announcements as well as information about the Foundation formed in her honor.
