Hello my name is Jack.
From the moment I received the news that I was never going to see or even talk to one of my closest friends ever again I broke into a million pieces as I’m sure all the other people he knew and loved did too.
Joey was a true friend - one who’d stand by your side through thick and thin. He was a friend who had your back, he was a true role model which was highlighted when he began the Go Fund Me page in memory of our amazing friend Dylan Price who was killed in a hit and run.
Joey was one of those people that when he walked into a room everyone would start smiling. He made everyone so happy and you’d be in hysterics laughing.
This page is my way of thanking Joey for being in my life.
I met him on my very first day at college, he made me feel welcome, he took me under his wing, he was an amazing friend and he deserves the absolute best send off.
From seeing him everyday at college and playing rugby together, he was always there for me.
I have so many memories of him like the time we pretended the wifi had gone down so that we didn’t have to sit in on a college zoom call all day so we went off sledging instead.
All the memories we’ve made together will live on forever. I know you’re safe up there now JM reunited with Dylan and you’ll be watching over every single one of us. We’re all so proud to have called you our friend - you mean the world to us all.
This Go Fund Me will be in aid of Joey’s funeral and to help give him the send off he deserves.
I had told Joey that I was going to do the Three Peaks challenge in July for mental health awareness. Now I will also be doing it for
him.
