In Loving Memory of a Beloved Father: Carlos Espino

With sad news, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Carlos Espino. His wife, Claudia; granddaughter, Keira; daughters, myself and my sister, Wailea, all bore witness to his last moments on July 14th of 2024, and for certain we could say he rested peacefully after his long-fought battle with his health conditions. My father was a kidney transplant recipient on April 9th of this year, and we strove to keep him going as long as we could before tragedy sent us to the ICU at Sutter Health Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA.

To me, my dad was a survivor, a warrior, a leader, and my hero among many other things he strove to be in his lifetime. He came from a hardened, diverse background and sought to provide more comfort than he ever received, just for his family. Throughout his journey and discussions we discovered the importance of familial connection through stories he shared with us. I became especially fond of his booming voice and goofy enthusiasm as he entertained the entire family with his lively expressions. My father not only served my family, but the community and country, through the Odd Fellows and the Air Force. He was involved in many projects in his field of work in construction, always sharing his experiences with my mom, Claudia. My dad was a devout family man because he always made sure to support my siblings and me in any way he could. I will never forget the sacrifices he made just to make us smile and feel loved at every moment with him.

I ask for support to cover my father’s funeral expenses in addition to your thoughts and prayers, and compassion during these trying times. My family greatly appreciates any donations and awareness spread to help my dad out one last time.
