Sadly, our beloved brother and friend, “Tata,” passed away on 11 August after more than a month of fighting for his life while battling a very rare autoimmune disease. His family, friends, and the entire community are deeply heartbroken by his untimely passing.
Antonio leaves behind a profound legacy of countless acts of kindness, dedication, and compassion toward everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
There are no words to express the grief and emptiness his passing has left behind, especially for his wife, Tanya, and their children, Alyana and Carlos. This tragic loss has placed a tremendous burden on them, not only emotionally but financially as well.
During this darkest time, we humbly ask for your kindness and support for Antonio’s family. Any amount, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping them navigate this difficult journey.

Hi, my name is Faye and I'm fundraising for Antonio "Tata" Tejero who is a friend and used to be my co-worker. He is currently in coma now and fighting for his life. Antonio is a great father, a loving husband and a good friend. He used to serve as police officer back in the Philippines and now he is working as a parole officer here in NZ. Tata is also an artist and a singer. He introduced Eskrima here in NZ and taught other nationalities who were interested in learning this martial art.
He is currently in induced coma and have to be transferred to Auckland from Rotorua. His family and friends ar knocking on your kind hearts to help cover their medical expenses and other cost that comes with it. Thank you for your time.
