As you may already know, my name is Amy and I am the eldest of four children. I live at home with my two sisters and my brother. We lived here with our mother Cheryl.
Three weeks ago my mum became unconscious without a pulse and paramedics were working on her for twenty minutes. She was in ICU for nearly a week. She was in a coma, on life support and suffered extensive brain damage that she was never going to be able to recover from. We had to make the hardest decision we have ever had to make.
The reality of the past three weeks has not sunk in yet and we want nothing more than to be here thinking of our mum. My sister and I are now faced with the financial pressures of taking care of our younger siblings, whilst also grieving the loss of our mum. We have both been off of work and this is affecting our ability to continue to meet the costs of basic living.
We are so thankful for every single person who has donated to this GoFundMe. Mum would never have believed that any of this happened and that people could have been so supportive and generous during this difficult time. The money raised from this GoFundMe is so precious to us, but we are also aware of the fact that once we pay for the costs involved in a small funeral. We will not be left with much to cover our living expenses until we return to work and find a way to cover the costs of living.
It is just my siblings and I. We do not have anyone who is in a position to help us financially. Please share this and just know that your prayers and thoughts mean the world to us.
