In loving memory: Mike Francis

It is with deep sadness that I am helping to create this GoFundMe in honor of Michael Francis, who tragically and unexpectedly passed away on October 28th. Everyone who knew Mike could only have the fondest of memories of him, both professionally and personally. He was a beloved son, father, friend, partner, fisherman, chef, animal lover, and SO much more. His passing will leave a hole in so many of our lives and hearts.

My name is Kristyona and I am Shaghay's daugher. Shaghay was Mike's partner for over 10 years and his friend and colleague for much longer than that. We've had hundreds of people reaching out with fond memories, stories and general well wishes; many have asked how they can help contribute. So, I am setting this up on behalf of my mom to help support her in funding Mike's funeral, as well as time missed from work while grieving and planning for the memorial service.

For anyone interested in joining, I am sharing the details of Mike's graveside service and Celebrate of Life which will both take place on November 10th. We hope to be surrounded by everyone who love Mike as deeply as we all do.

The graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 10:30AM on November 10th. The address is: 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499

The Celebration of Life will be open house style and held at the Lakewood Ram from 11:30AM to 2:30PM on November 10th. The address is: 10019 59th Ave SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
