In Loving Memory: Harbhajan Singh Bhamra's choice of charity
Donation protected
In 2004 Harbhajan Singh Bhamra set up a charity in the memory of his mother Bibi Mohinder Kaur Bhamra - who passed away in 1993. Bibi Mohinder Kaur was a master seamstress and it was Harbhajan's wish to do something charitable in her memory, and aim to leave a long lasting legacy in her honour.
The Mohinder Sewing School was set up in his home village of Rurka Kalan in Jalandhar, India, to support the local community and help those less privileged to attend this school, free of charge, and gain essential sewing skills: to help them work towards a better life.
Harbhajan continued to support this charity at every opportunity possible, especially on his annual visits back to India.
Our wish is to continue the charitable work he started, and donate your generous contributions into this school.
