In Loving Memory and Tribute to Nazila Khor

Nazila was remembered as a sweet, kind, loving and caring soul. She was truly beautiful inside and out. Nazila first arrived to the United States with her mother and sister. Unfortunately, their mother was diagnosed with cancer when Nazila was only 25 years old. As the oldest daughter, she carried the burden of taking care of her mother. For 4 years, Nazila devoted herself to fight along side her mother who had Stage 4 cancer. She did not have a social life, nor did she have time for herself. Unfortunately, her mother did not win the battle against cancer and Nazila was left with just Mina. She did her duty of raising Mina on behalf of their mother. Her greatest fear was that one day too, she would not be able to take care of her.
Nazila touched the lives of many. Even though Nazila spent many years with no one but her mother and sister, very quickly, she was able to make a lot of friends. She always placed everyone before herself. Many of her friends remembered their first initial conversations as comforting. Some individuals felt they could just open up to her, even though it was the first time they had met her. Others witnessed her taking care of strangers when they were not feeling well. She was always willing to lend a listening ear or a hand to everyone. She just had that magic. She was a loving and pure soul.
Nazila unexpectedly passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020, leaving behind just Mina. She was and will always be greatly loved by countless friends. This GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help with the memorial and funeral costs. May we forever remember and cherish Nazila in our hearts and memory.
Rest in Peace, sweet, sweet Nazila.
