In Loving Memory and Honor of Roger Turrubiartes

The last few days we have all been silently mourning the passing of such a young loving man. Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be creating something like this and it truly shatters my heart to share this news with many of you who knew him. My son played baseball with him for several years and we spent countless hours with his family while our boys played travel ball together , any one who’s played travel ball knows exactly what I mean when I say you build life long relationships ,creating memories and experiences planting special places in our hearts that will forever be cherished.
Roger was diagnosed with Stage 2 colon cancer during the pandemic which rapidly transitioned into stage 4 at the age of 18 . From my understanding Roger was unable to get the proper treatments necessary due to how aggressive the cancer was spreading which was causing his bones to become severely fragile. Roger fought as hard as his body allowed and it’s with a heavy heart to say that he did pass away Tuesday September 19, 2023. Just 2 1/2 weeks before what would’ve been his 21st birthday.

All the memories I personally have of Roger are all memories of him playing the sport he loved , baseball and let me tell you , he was really good at it . After travel ball he went to play baseball for Roosevelt High School playing several positions including catcher and pitcher. Roger graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2020 .

Roger Zaid Turrubiartes was survived by his parents Dora and Eusebio Turrubiartes his sisters Mellanie and Emily and his baby brother Santi.

I will be attaching an itinerary of Rogers services for those who knew and loved Roger
The family is asking to please dress in Dodger attire if planning to attend services as a way to pay tribute to their son.

We kindly ask to keep The Turrubiartes family in your prayers during this difficult time . Any and all donations are very much appreciated. We kindly ask to share this campaign so that this may reach as many people as possible.

On behalf of the Turrubiartes family we thank you for your thoughts , prayers and condolences.

Rest in Love Roger , You will be missed
