Like many immigrants, Izetta Dweh traveled to Canada in October of 2019 in search of a better life, leaving behind her two young sons in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, West Africa.
Izetta got her Canadian work permit just before the pandemic hit between February and March 2020. She was eager to work in order to support her children back in Africa. She was a loving mother who talked a lot about her children and how she wanted to provide them with better opportunities in Canada. Izetta was a good and reliable friend ready to land a helping hand at any time. She was also full of life and full of fun. She kept in touch with her loved ones and friends on a daily basis, especially during this lockdown.
Unfortunately, Izetta's dream which is the dream of every mother will never come through as the last time that anyone spoke to or heard from her was on Monday, July 13, 2020. On Friday, July 17, her lifeless body was found in her apartment by a friend. The main tragedy here is that Izetta lost a brother and a nephew in April and in June respectively. This has put a financial constrain on her family. At present, not only is the family trying to grasp with her untimely death, but they are also struggling to find the funds for her funerals. Please help raise the funds for Izetta's home going.
Our goal is to help the family with the cost of the funeral and help her children back in Africa. Please help us raise this money. We will appreciate any amount.
