This memorial fund has been created in honor of Jon Robert “Big Jon” Parker.

Jon was the definition of a gentle giant and loved his family fiercely. He built his life around the people he cared for and was the kind of presence that made people feel safe. He had an abiding faith and a deep belief in treating others with dignity and kindness. He never stopped working to do better than yesterday.

Jon’s passing was sudden, and our family is devastated. We are grieving the loss of his anchoring presence, the steadiness he brought into our lives, and the love that made our family feel held.

Jon lived with conviction and heart. He cared deeply about justice and human rights, and he lived those values in everyday life. He also brought joy with him, humor, music, and a warmth that could make a hard day feel lighter. If you knew Jon, you knew the difference his presence made.
