In love and support of Vivian Lawrence-Murphy
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
As many of you may know, my mother, Vivian Lawrence Murphy, was diagnosed with vasculitis in 2010. As a result of this disease, my mother has had several strokes and heart attacks since her original diagnosis. However, our mother is a resilient woman. Despite her suffering, she has maintained high spirits and faith in God through every stroke, every doctor's visit and every emotional breakdown we have had as a family.
Most recently, our mother was rushed to the hospital and had to receive a craniotomy to remove excessive bleeding in her brain. Unfortunately, there has been a discovery of more bleeding on the opposite side of her brain; however, my mother is now too weak to receive another surgery. She has been in recovery while we wait for the Lord to pour his strength into her, and we are trying our very best to keep it together and keep everyone updated. This has been very hard on me, my Father and my sisters. Although your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us, many of you have asked us how you can support us as we support our mother. We have come to the conclusion that it would be most beneficial to receive donations that could be used for:
- Outpatient support once my mother is out of recovery/has been released.
- Coverage on monthly expenses while they are at the hospital (water, electric etc.)
- Food or toiletries for my father, Darrin Murphy, as he has been staying in the hospital with my mother day in and day out.
- Gas for my sisters and me as we travel to and from Greenville on a daily basis to see our parents.
- Any possible relocation expenses as we are in talks of potentially moving our parents closer to my Mothers doctors/specialist
- Etc.
Donations do not have to be monetary; we will also accept any acts of service that would most benefit our parents as they are staying here at Vidant in Greenville throughout my mother's recovery. So, all in all, any way you would like to help our family is a blessing.
To know our mother is to love her. She has been in and out of the hospital for more than ten years and still finds a reason to smile and lift our spirits daily. We love her and pray that you all see it in your hearts to help us through such a challenging situation. Thank you for your time and your blessings in advance.
