In Love and Support of the Padilla Payton’s
Donation protected
As some of you may have been made aware, one of the best humans we know, Katie Padilla Payton, has suffered a tremendous loss. It is with a heavy heart that we share the tragic news Jessica Padilla Payton has passed away in their home on the evening of December 3rd, 2023.
Jess was a loving wife, a caring aunt, and devoted pet mom. Her compassionate soul was reflected in the work she performed by helping adults with disabilities obtain housing, jobs, and even more importantly, their independence. Jess was also a talented and poetic writer, who worked tirelessly on her storied memoir. May her kind spirit live on through all of us.
Some of you may not have known Jess well but you are reading this because you know her wife, Katie. To know Katie is to know that she is a non-stop worker bee, who completes all tasks, large and small, with pride and determination. She is also the most selfless person that most of us have ever had the pleasure of knowing-- with little, if any, regard for herself.
Katie made many sacrifices to make sure her wife was loved and supported. This last year Katie and her family have faced numerous, significant hardships, and they have persevered on.
During this tumultuous time, she has continued to have kind words, big hugs, and warm smiles for us all. She has celebrated our biggest accomplishments, and minor successes, alike. Katie has been a sympathetic and loving friend at every turn. She would never ask for financial support, but we have come to you to request it on her behalf. Now is the time we show all the love back to Katie and her family.
Please consider donating today, on what would have been Jess’s 34th birthday, to our friend in this hour of need, in an effort to ensure that she is able to cover the monetary expenses that resulted from this unfortunate tragedy.
