With the heaviest heart, I am writing the story of losing my best friend. A part of me. My twin.
Kim Longlott, was the greatest mother I could imagine having. I never thought someone could love me as much as she loved me, and I love her more than I can think to type. I spent every last second with her.
She was kind, loyal, hysterical, creative, and the most beautiful woman in the world. If you miss her, you can find her in me in every single thing I do. We are one.
On March 29th, she lost a short and severe battle with lung cancer. We fought it together and did everything we could. This has been the most difficult and shocking experience for her, myself, and Kim’s husband Brian.
Given the situation of the global pandemic, the last month of medical assistance has been even more difficult. Please know I was able to be with my mother and love her through it all. Following her wishes, and the guidelines of social distancing, we will not be holding a funeral service. In lieu of flowers and your presence, we are asking for any help in donation toward her medical bills.
My career, as well as Brian’s have both been negatively effected by the pandemic, making this even more difficult.
After we ALL fight this pandemic and see the other side, I will arrange a gathering of many drinks and great food at the Peanut Bar, one of her favorite places to be. Please share any photos, positive memories, crazy stories (I know there are many, as my mom and I have gotten into much trouble together) with myself and Brian.
Mom, I love you more than I ever thought I could love anything. I am the product of the best mother and friend to ever, ever exist. I will live for you, please watch over me.
