In Love and Loss, for Krista

Donation protected

Hello All,

As you all likely know, Krista tragically lost her big sister, Lindsay, this past September.
The path of grief is a grueling one and Kacy had a great idea to put this together so we could collectively give Krista the gift of time to be with her family, friends, and loved ones.
To that end, we are asking for contributions from all that know and love Krista. No amount is too small and please feel free to share with people you know who love Krista.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and please send grace towards Krista, Lindsay, and the whole Reed family.

From Maureen:
I will never forget the sound of Krista’s voice when she told me the news. My sweet friend is forever changed in a most horrific way and, since then, as I’m sure most of you have felt, I’ve wanted to do anything possible to help her on this path she did not choose. I’m grateful Kacy thought of this so we can alleviate some of the financial burden associated with taking the time one needs to grieve. While no amount will take away the hurt, every bit and every word and every share shows Krista how much she is loved. Let’s wrap her in a warm blanket of love and continue to tell us how much we love her, Lindsey, Lisa, David, Tommy, and Sammy.

From Kacy:
Last September, I heard the absolutely devastating news that my dear friend Krista lost her beloved sister, Lindsey. As a young widow, I am no stranger to the intensity and pervasiveness that is grief. Any close loss is incredible and heart-wrenching, but there is something especially devastating in losing someone so young. Someone who has been a part of your life since day one.

Since first hearing the news, Krista and her family have been on my mind constantly, as I’m sure they have been on yours. Though I try to be supportive from afar in different ways, I’ve always wished to be able to do more for her, just as others did for me. In a recent conversation, Krista mentioned how hard it is living across the country from her family. Life’s responsibilities and distance has meant she hasn’t had much opportunity to take time for herself or to be with her family. After our last catch up session, I finally felt like I had an idea of a way to better support her in this time.

And that brings us here. My heart is forever heavy for my sweet friend and sadly I know nothing will ever truly take away the pain surrounding the loss of Lindsey. While that is the unfortunate truth, I at least hope to help alleviate some of the outside stressors as she goes through her own grief journey. Krista was there for me in ways that I'll never forget, and I know that she would be there for anyone that she knows and loves. In creating this gofundme, it is my hope that we can raise money to allow Krista to take more time to heal as she sees fit.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. We will keep you informed as we wrap things up and pass along all contributions.
