IN LOVING MEMORY FOR HARRIETT

Harriett DeVine has a heart of gold. There was nothing she wouldn't do or give to her friends and family. Family meant EVERYTHING to her. Her front door was never locked and everyone knew they had a place to stay if they ever needed one. Harriett had 3 sons, Anthony (Tony), Tanu and Ty. She adored her boys. Harriett retired from bartending after 40 years at different establishments in Lomita but the one near and dear to her heart was The Firehouse. If anyone would start to get out of control, she would tell them that if they didn't settle down, she wouldn't be calling the police, she would be calling her sons! She loved crawfishing with her children. She had a secret weapon to get those crawdads to appear! Harriett LOVED Halloween and Christmas. Every Halloween it was chili dogs and Halloween Town. Every Christmas she would deck out the house from giant nutcrackers to fake snow and it was a must to have 4-6 Christmas trees!!! Harriett LOVED black and white movies, Gone with the Wind was one of her all time favorites! She loved music, he favorite singer was Barry White. Harriett enjoyed a fun trip with her family to Knott's Berry Farm! Boysenberry season was her favorite!!! I Love Lucy was another favorite of hers....she enjoyed laughing! Crafts she really enjoyed. She would sew Halloween costumes and when her sons were young, she would make their clothes. Harriett absolutely loved family gatherings! Listening to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren tell her stories of what was going on in their lives would bring her such joy!
