AUSTIN'S OBITUARY
Austin Henry Van de Vyver Sr. was born to his loving parents Samantha Wiggins and Jerel Van de Vyver on October 19, 1994. Austin passed away suddenly on September 15, 2021 at the young age of twenty-six. He left behind his son, Austin H. Van de Vyver Jr., fiancé, Ashely Sexton, sisters Lillian and Vivian, brothers Jason, Logan, Kyle and Christian. Step-parents Gregory Wiggins, Renee Van de Vyver and Jamie Van de Vyver. There are countless family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
Austin was a cherished resident of Waterford, Michigan at the time of his death. He grew up in Mount Clemens, Warren and Eastpointe, Michigan. Austin and Ashley welcomed their son, A.J. into the world on March 3rd, 2020. The year and a half after A.J.’s birth, Austin Sr. boasted and swooned over every milestone his child met. He was an entrepreneur in the plumbing trade, (Triple A Sewer Professional.) Austin graduated from East Detroit High School in 2013, where he was an alto-saxophone player in the marching band/concert band, part of the wrestling team and a member of the varsity football team. Austin took great pride in his passion as one of the founding members of his riding club (Dying Breed Motorcycle Club) in Taylor, Michigan.
Austin is survived by a large family including his fiancé, Ashley Sexton and son, Austin Henry Van de Vyver Jr. Parents, Samantha (Ralston, Van de Vyver) Wiggins, and Jerel Van de Vyver. Step-parents, Gregory Wiggins, Renee (Ferrari) Van de Vyver, Jamie (Hancock, Holmes) Van de Vyver. Grandparents Charles and Marguerita Ralston, Esther (Smith, Ralston, Roberts) and Tony Guarnieri, Rosemary (Slabbinck, Van de Vyver) and John Cieszynski, Jean (Hollingsworth) and Steven Wiggins, Judi (Morpus) Ferrari. Siblings Lillian, Logan and Kyle Van de Vyver, Jason (Maddie) Bennett, Christian and Vivian Wiggins; step-siblings Sean and Madelyn Holmes. Many aunts, uncles and countless cousins. Preceded in death were Ronald Van de Vyver, Richard and Francis Smith, Mary Webb and Randy Ferrari.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25th at the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 11071 E. 11 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48093; (586) [phone redacted].
