Grace's Legacy

Donation protected

To all those that know and love Grace Eunhae Kim (maiden name: Grace Chu)

Our dear Grace died on August 11, 2021 at 1:08PM. She just had her 40th birthday.
July 18, 1981 - August 11, 2021

She died at home with her family nearby.

She was diagnosed with Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor (MPNST). The journey started December 2018 when a large mass was found in her thorax and she underwent bilateral thoracotomies, then had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and proton treatment. Her tumors spread to the spine, causing paralysis, and continued to grow in her thorax. Even though the tumors kept growing, Grace won the battle. She has left her legacy of love and grace with all those that know her.

Grace lived her life full of love. Love for her two boys, Christian & Noah. Love for her husband, Isaac. Love for her family and friends. And love for God. Even though the last few weeks have been intense with her paralysis, her labored breathing, and her pain; she was able to quote scripture and praise God for His love.

During some of her darkest days, this is a scripture Grace liked to quote:

“Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” Micah 7:8

While Grace was bedridden with paralysis, she shared stories, told those around her how to arrange the flowers on the table, and even what tablecloth to use for dinner. She is a feisty, opinionated, lovable girl, as you know. So full of light and love, that the world is a little dimmer at this moment.

In lieu of flowers or gifts for the memorial service or family, please consider a contribution to this fund to support Christian and Noah. All the funds will go to her boys: for education, travel, and whatever else may come.

Another option is to consider donating for furthering the research of MPNST at the Siteman Cancer Center:
