In the early morning of August 22, 2025, Isaac Lane Moel, our beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and best friend, passed away at 29 years old. He was comfortable, surrounded by his wife and parents in his home.
In April, 2019, Isaac was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer at the age of 23. Isaac battled this disease with grace and courage, constantly putting others before himself. He never let this disease stop him from living his full and complete life. He got married to the love of his life, started a dairy goat farm paired with a handcrafted soap business, and he (with the help of many family members) converted an old red pull barn into a living condo. Isaac became a loving dog dad, then a cat dad, and then a proud uncle. Isaac wore many hats, impressing all of us the entire time. Isaac leaves behind a legacy and shoes that will never be filled.
The full obituary can be found here: Isaac Lane Moel Obituary. An open house celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 28 from 4-8 pm at Terry Trueblood Lodge. A brief service with speeches from the family will begin at 6 pm. Details can be found here: Isaac Celebration of Life Facebook Event. The Moel family could use your support in covering funeral costs, final medical bills, lost work wages, living costs, pet care, and travel expenses for the immediate family. Due to Isaac’s young age at diagnosis, life insurance was not a benefit he was able to receive. Any leftover monies will be donated to the Man Up to Cancer or the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
Thank you on behalf of the Moel family. Keep Driving Forward.
