In honour of Barry - Funds for Suicide Prevention
In the month of April 2021, my beautiful dad and best friend Barry Croft, committed suicide. An unexpected, earth shattering event that would change my own life and his family members forever. Dad always had the brightest of smiles and funkiest of dance moves to cheer up the people around him, a happy go lucky man with all the time in the world for his family, his mates and his community.
I would like to raise funds for BLACK DOG INSTITUTE, a cause very close to my heart! In honour of my dad, I wanted to take this opportunity leading up to my birthday (that falls on the same day as Father’s Day this year) to donate as many funds as possible, to establish more effective mental health and suicide prevention resources. BLACK DOG INSTITUTE is a proudly independent not-for-profit medical research institute, working towards research for; effective suicide prevention, dismantling the stigmas surrounding mental health in the digital age, youth and workplace, and who’s research and support works to establish an evidence base for new clinical treatment models.
Your donation will help us develop research and tools for a mentally healthier world!
